It’s time we had a serious talk about what you'll be drinking on St. Patrick's Day. Sure, we love the novelty of green beer as much you do, but it's a bit lacking in the flavor department. Instead, we suggest you observe the holiday with a proper cocktail that calls for Irish whiskey. The usually smooth and honeyed liquor not only tastes great neat but also works well with a range of different flavors. No wonder it's the fastest-growing spirit category in America.

So, class up your St. Patty's celebration by fixing one of these recipes, which were created by some of the world's best bartenders. Sláinte!

Pickle BackPickle what? That was my reaction when I first heard about the Pickle Back. Yep, you read that right: Pickle Back. The drink, a shot of bourbon or Jameson Irish Whiskey followed by a shot of pickle brine, has developed a cult following complete with a Facebook fan page and press release from Jameson. It’s particu-larly popular among New York City bartenders who have spread pickle fever to other cities, including Baltimore, Philadel-phia, San Francisco and even London.

It’s not all that crazy when you put it into context. The Russian and Nordic cultures have paired pickles and pickle brine with vodka for generations. And, of course, many Martini drinkers add a splash of olive brine to their cocktails.

Women have no shortage to their lists of annoying habits that men have. Knowing what women find annoying about men is invaluable not only because they are habits that you may not realize you do but also because it gives you an opportunity to break those habits and improve your relationship with the fairer sex. Here are 10 common annoying things that women hate and men often don't even realize they do.

Adjusting the privatesThis isn't something that you grow out of after puberty. Men have a lot of fascination with what lurks beneath and as long as they have full use of their hands, a lot of time can be spent down there 'sorting the boys out.' It may not be sexual, and may just be for the purposes of comfort but it is something that women time and time again complain about. Despite the reason, it isn't the most hygienic practice and the image of a man lying on the couch with a bag of chips in one hand and his manhood in the other will never break into a woman's top ten sexual fantasies.

Selective hearingMen all over the world have sat in front of a television and watched a program while their wife or girlfriend attempted to initiate a conversation with them. It never ends well. Apart from 'eating chips, adjusting the privates and watching the TV,' scientists have demonstrated that men are less capable than women at multitasking; yet we still attempt to watch TV and listen to her. The TV usually wins. This phenomenon happens in other situations too, like when driving, eating, or reading. Pretending to listen to her or selectively listening to her is more annoying to women than just not listening at all.

Passing gasWhatever form it may take, it is repellent to a woman. It may have been big and clever to see who can make the biggest belch in grade school but after reaching the age of majority, the novelty should have long gone. You may see nothing

wrong with it, but nothing is more likely to put an early end to a night of passion than releasing hot air.

Man fluThe term 'man flu' has permeated the public consciousness as a way of suggesting that men, unlike women, exaggerate symptoms of minor illnesses. Scientific evidence for this is ambiguous and sometimes unreliable, but researchers at the University of Cambridge have suggested that evolutionary factors may have led to men becoming more vulnerable and susceptible to illness than women and so there may be some credit due to 'sick' men throughout the world. But just because you are ill doesn't mean you have to be such a baby about it. How many times has your sweetheart nursed you back to health and how many times have you returned the favor?

OglingWomen absolutely despise catching their men ogling other women. Women ogle too, visually admiring the opposite sex just as much as their male counterparts, except they gener-ally do it with a greater level of subtlety. You might not be able to help it but you can at least be more discreet about it. There are multiple levels of irritation she experiences when she catches you ogling: she is annoyed, threatened, embarrassed, and she is likely also angered by the fact that you can't do it well enough that she doesn't notice.

Talking about your ex You may think that the odd comment about your high school sweetheart here and there is harmless, but it annoys, and even offends, your current partner. Talking about the ex is a "no go" area. Never do it. Ever. Mentioning your ex is a lose-lose situation. Focus on keeping your current partner happy -- as far as she is concerned, your sex life before her was non-existent. If a previous girlfriend happens to come up in conversation, be as sparing of detail as possible and avoid casting any opinion about her or your relationship with her.

That You DoThings10 She Hates

Page 17: Edge Monthly March issue

Talking about your motherYou might think that your beloved would never feel threat-ened by someone as harmless as Mom; however, this couldn't be further from the truth. Women and mothers-in-law instinc-tively aren't inclined to get along: it's human nature. Wives generally feel as though their mother-in-law is judging them while mothers generally fear that their son is being taken away from them by a less capable woman. This is why the odd comment such as "my Mom makes the best apple pie" will often touch a nerve with your partner. You're making a benign comment but she is hearing "you're not doing it right."

Expecting sexMen are inclined to link most things back to sex; it's not our fault, it's nature. Men are hard-wired this way. The sexual pursuit area is 2.5 times larger in Male brains than in female brains, therefore it is natural that sex should be a constant presence somewhere in our psyche. Unfortunately, this often means that when a woman shows us signs of

amiability and decency, male arrogance leads us to the conclusion that she must want sex and sadly, for both parties, she ends up fighting off unwanted advances.

Showing offShowing off is a natural male instinct. Across all animals and species, the mating process usually involves a male vying for a female's attention and willing to go to any lengths of show-off and ostentation to achieve that attention. Unfortu-nately, this kind of misplaced machismo has penetrated everyday living with an inevitably irritating outcome. Most women don't care to hear your old college stories, athletic victories or how many other women you've 'bagged' - espe-cially more than once. It may seem macho to some of your friends but to women, and indeed many other men, it is just annoying and rude.

ForgettingWomen absolutely loathe when you forget. Although they may forgive you for the occasional forgotten detail, pickup or memo, they are usually not so forgiving when you make it a habit or forget something important to them, like a favor, dinner plans, or worse, an anniversary. Unfortunately, it does happen and it is usually results in a really angry partner. It was an accident and you didn't mean to forget but in doing so you have made her feel unimportant, undervalued

'The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit,' Fred Durst Tweeted.

Lil Wayne has made no secret of his affinity for rock and roll. The Cash Money MC loves strapping on a guitar, and though his detour into rock on the 2010 album Rebirth didn't click with fans as much as his hip-hop efforts, Weezy wasn't shy about cranking up the amps and paying homage to the rap-rock fusion sound of the 1990s.

So it kind of makes sense that he announced on Thursday that one of the icons of '90s nu-metal, Limp Bizkit, would be joining the YMCMB roster.

In an interview with New York's 98.7 Kiss FM station DJ Lenny Green, Wayne said, "We're always listening and looking at acts. Every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money ... The other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. They're signing everybody."

"The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!!" Cash Money Limp Bizkit

Wayne also said that the label could be working with former Murder Inc. princess Ashanti, but it was the news that Bizkit would join the likes of Nicki Minaj and Drake that raised the most eyebrows. Though they had a run at the top of the charts in the late 1990s with hits like a metalized rap cover of George Michael's "Faith" and "Nookie," by the early 2000s, Bizkit began to lose steam. In 2001, colorful guitarist Wes Borland split as the band fell into a creative and commercial funk.

Borland returned for a brief period in 2004, but the critic's punching bag group could not outrun their past and went on hiatus until 2009, releasing their first album of new material in six years in 2011, the tepidly received major-label swan song, Gold Cobra. With the signing, LB become the first rock band to join a roster packed with R&B and rap acts that includes Tyga, Mack Maine, Busta Rhymes and Jay Sean.

Bizkit singer Fred Durst confirmed the Cash Money news early Friday morning (February 24) in a series of tweets, including one in which he wrote, "The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit." He later added, "Rock s--- doesn't rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I'm back in this ho! #CMLB."

Country Music has enjoyed a rich history over the years, and the Country Music Foundation has released what many are considering to be the ultimate history book concerning the genre with the issue of The Encyclopedia of Country Music.

A 626-page book of who's who, and what's what in country music history, the release is the second edition of the book. The first edition was released in 1998. Since then, there have been several additions to the book. In addi-tion, there are several essay articles in the book that deal with everything from stage attire in the format to the digital age.

Starting with Abbott Records -- the label for which Jim Reeves first hit with "Mexican Joe" all the way to musician Joe Zinkan -- who played for acts such as Roy Acuff and Tammy Wynette, there are entries ranging from the 1920s all the way to current superstars such as Taylor Swift and the Zac Brown Band.

The book also has complete winners of CMA, ACM, country-related Grammy Award winners, and a listing of every album from the format to be certified

gold or better.

In addition to superstars such as Kenny Rogers, Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, and Patsy Cline, there are entries concerning Larry Butler, Jimmy Bowen, Allen Reynolds, and Owen Bradley - the men who produced the history-making hits behind those artists. Label executives such as Ken Nelson, Jim Foglesong, and Joe Galante are also featured.

The Encyclopedia of Country Music also features a collage of some of the more interesting album covers in the genre's history, and will serve as the ultimate argument-settler among country music fans, and maybe a few artists.

"I've loved country music all my life, and it still amazes me how much more I can learn about it," Reba McEntire said. "The Encyclopedia of Country Music will be a reference book for the next generation of country music lovers to learn about the folks I was blessed enough to get to know and work with. I will enjoy reading it and getting reacquainted with our history."

"The Encyclopedia is not just a dry compendium of names and facts, but a rich archive of our shared history of the most American of art forms: country music," Rosanne Cash said. "The second edition of the Encyclopedia of Country Music is also a point of great pride for me, as so many of my extended family members are included in these pages."

2007 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Vince Gill wrote the foreword in the second edition. The Encyclopedia of Country Music is available for order at www.countrymusichalloffame.org.

The Electric Daisy Carnival, the dance music festival which drew over 250,000 attendees to its three-day Las Vegas event last year, will hit New York on May 19-20, 2012, at a soon-to-be-announced location.

Electric Daisy Carnival New York will be presented via a partnership between EDC organizer Insomniac Events, and Pacha New York, the only U.S. branch of the storied Ibizan nightlife brand. The event is part of EDC's expanding initiative to add a traveling component to its brand, supporting the marquis Las Vegas celebration.

"I'm really excited to be working with Pacha to bring our touring experience of Electric Daisy Carnival to New York," Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac Events, told Billboard exclusively. "The entire Insomniac staff is looking forward to this upcom-ing EDC weekend on the East Coast."

Venue and lineup details for EDCNY will be announced soon. The main event, EDC Las Vegas, is scheduled for June 8-10. Check out the newly updated electricdaisycarnival.com for more information.

Fellow citizens of Stankonia: we've got some sad news for you. In a new interview, Andre 3000, one half of the game-changing Atlanta hip-hop duo OutKast, says that there is no new music from him and Big Boi in the works.

"There's been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album," the rapper tells GQ. The duo's last proper album was 2006's "Idlewild," and while Big Boi released a solo album, "Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty," in 2010, Andre 3000 has spent the downtime lending guest verses to artists like Ke$ha, Drake and B.o.B.

"There's a lot of music on the horizon," the rapper continues. "I've been living off the excitement of new artists. I've been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, 'Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.' So I've been taking those calls and for the last two years, I've been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I've just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I'm planning to do a solo project. I don't know when it will come out, but hopefully it'll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don't know if or when that will happen."

Andre 3000's only solo offering is his half of OutKast's "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," in which he presented a kaleido-scopic hodgepodge of pop, R&B and electronica (and scored a No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 with "Hey Ya!"). When asked about his in-the-works solo debut, the rapper said, "The only thing I can really say is I'm going to get back to having fun because that's what it was all about when I started this in high school-with OutKast-those were like high school dreams. I'm 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams. This album will just be me being myself as normal."

Back in 2009, Big Boi told Billboard that he and Andre planned to release their first solo albums, and then get back to work as the Mighty O. Last September, OutKast was one of a handful of artists to move to Epic Records following the restructuring of Sony Music.
