Requirement to take Safety Courses Levels (1, 2, 3 & 4C) for access to CMS-

Need to Study Shift Tutorial
Training Shifts to be taken
Subscription for Shifts through Shift Selection tool

Shifters Duties
Read the Run Field Manager’s Current Plan
Fill the Run Checklist for every run (Run Time > 15 Minutes)
Write an E-Log for any problems or crashes
Monitoring FED Status for all FEDs participating in Global Run
Monitor Central DQM & ECAL DQM for Status of various Parameters
Monitor Beam Status and give feedback to LHC-CR
Take Local Runs incase ECAL (EB + EE) or Preshower (ES) fails
Write Shift Summary
In rare cases, Take control of DCS from central DCS
