I. INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHECKING VESION AND UPDATING

FIRMWARE

Hiep Phat Mechatronics currently provide 2 model of DNC Transfer Device:

1. DNC Basic.

2. DNC Transfer by using Wi-fi

- Follow the Micro DNC. V2 , we will provide our software called “ HP

Explorer ” to control and transfer data via Wi-fi network to the CNC

Machine.

- Main firmware and Module Wi-fi firmware.

- Before reading manuals, you need to check which version of your device

you are using, by:

Press and hold Menu button, then press Power button. The text in red frame above is current version of device: V8.1.7

Firmware update steps:

1. Press and hold” ESC ” button on the device, then press Power button,

wait for a few second the screen will appear interface like image

below, require us to plug the USB has been copied firmware file into.

2. After pluged USB into device.

3. Move arrow key to choose firmware.Example “ DNC2BinFileV871A”,

press “ ENT “ button to confirm then press “ ENT “ button again to

start updating.

4. The screen will appear as follows, wait for run 100% completely.

Device will restart automatically, this time the device has been

updated to the latest firmware.

Repeat the steps above with the ESP8266 BinFile V1.3.bin.(just for

wi-fi model).

II. INTRODUCE FUNTIONS

1. MAIN SCREEN

( Main menu)

- Form main menu screen, use key to select function

which you want to use.

2. MANUAL FUNTIONS

2.1 SIMULATION

- User use this function to check machining program and inconsequential

toolpaths.

2.2 EXPLORE

- User use this function to manage files and hard disk inside and outside

device.

- User is also can :

Format, check properties, access into different hard disk. With files and

folder, user is able to: Read, Copy, Cut, Paste, Delete, Rename, check

information, make new folder.

2.3 DNC Transfer

- User use this function to transmit program files to CNC machine in mode

DNC (mode tape on CNC machine).

2.4 READ FROM DNC

- User use this function to take out program or parameter from CNC machine

and save to device.

2.5 CONFIGUATION

- User use this function to adjust the parameter of the device and the

appropriate output port to communicate with CNC machines.

2.6 HELP/INFOR

- User use this function to get information about device and manufactuer.

III. MANUAL INTRUCTION

3.1 EXPLORER

- Step 1: From main screen press key to choose function

“Explore” application.

- Step 2: Press to open application.

- Explore’s screen show 2 hard disk:

1. C:/System Disk : Sdcard inside device (4Gbyte)

2. D:/USB Disk : Usb storage (USB).

Use the key to choose f i le .

Use the key to open option:

1. : Change hardisk.

2. : Move File to “Tranfer DNC” application.

3. : Change to “Read From CNC” application.

4. : Edit và cut File Gcode.

5. : See machining toolpath simulation.

6. : Copy file from hardisk to another hardisk.

7. : Cut file from hardisk to another hardisk.

8. : Paste object which you copy or cut before.

9. : Create a new folder.

10. : Create a new fille Gcode.

11. : Change the file name or the folder name.

12. : Delete file or folder select.

13. : Check the imformation of the select object

14. : Format hardisk.

3.2 DNC TRANFER

Step 1: From the main menu screen use the buttons to select

“DNC Tranfer” application.

Step 2 : Use the key to open application.

Step 3: Use the key to select file Gcode.

Step 4: Then press to transfer data. Now the status box on the device

will display “Waiting” .

Parameter:

1. Name of file which selected to transmit to DNC machine (if there’s no file

choosen screen will show“No File Select”)

2. “RS232: 9600,7,2,N” : Thể parameters which was config for port RS232.

3. “0%”: Percentage transmited.

4. "STOP": Status stop transmitting if the text"STOP", waiting for the signal

from the CNC machine if the text is "WATTING ...", transmitting data to the

CNC machine if the text is "SENDING .

Lưu ý: In some cases, if you manipulate on CNC machine first and then

press on DNC device, it may not transmit data because the device

does not receive signals from CNC machine (XON), in this case, press

to emulate XON signal and activate automatic transmission process.

To (STOP), User Press . Device will automatic reload file from the

beginning.

3.3 READ FROM CNC

“Read From DNC” application.


Step 3: Manipulate the CNC to Output (Punch) program.

Step 4: After the transfer file is complete. Press and enter the file

name.

Note:

In the “Read mode” section of the “Configuration”.

:

+ User : The device user will name the file just taken from the CNC machine.

+ Auto : The file name will match the file name in the previous CNC machine.

The file will be automatic saved the the hardisk C:/

“Configuration” application.


- Use the keys to manipulation, use the key to choose.

- Use the keys to change value.

- Use the key to tab.

Parameter:

1. : Select function display power on (Main Menu, DNC,

Explorer)

2. : Output option, depending on the model,

will have different option, for example RS23, User Tape, Fanuc 6m(parallel

port)…

3. : File / Folder sorting mode in ABC or

Datetime format .

4. : Automatically run the program from the beginning

when

processing is complete.

5. : adjust the contrast of the screen.

6. : Usually going to 0ms.

7. : Select Baud rate.

8. : Select the number of bits of data (7.8).

9. : Select

Bit Sop (1.2).

10. : Select

check bit (None, Even, Odd).

11. , , ,

: These parameters are used to fine tune the

parallel port, to follow the manufacturer's default .

12. Delay time of parallel port, used to adjust

the parallel port of the CNC machines.

13. : The feature is used to detect the end of the

file of function Read From. There are 2 modes are Time Out and% Gcode%,

in mode% Gcode%, the device will proceed to retrieve data until the appear

symbol %, indicates the program has finished, it will automatically stop and

complete receive data from the machine.

14. : After the first period, if the device does

not read any more data , it will understand that it has completed reading file

from CNC machines, for example, if the setting is 10s, after 10s waiting if

there are no data is read any further, the device will finish receiving data

from CNC machine.

15. : Choose how to enter File name when

using Read From DNC. There are two modes, Auto and User. Auto mode

will default to the File name of the first 15 characters of the data. User mode

will let the user enter the file name.

16. : Color of background on the simulation.

3.6 EDIT


“Edit” application.


: Create a new File Gcode.

: Open and edit file is available in DNC memory or on

USB

:

+ : Remove the number of command lines you want

according to the program percentage.

+ : Remove the number of command lines you want

according to the N command.

3.7 SIMULATION


“Simulation” application.


Step 3: Press to open explorer.

Step 4: Press to choose file. After device handles and scale images

complete you can use the key to see the toolpath.

1. Install Hiep Phat Explorer Software to control device by using Wi-fi

Note: Before you installed this software you have to shut down Fire wall.

-Run file “ HPexplorer 2.exe “

- Click next to start install software

3. Connect Micro DNC Device with PC

Step 2: Type Name and IP address of DNC device.Then Click “ Add
