Configuremenu

Monitoring FactoryWizDNCprovidesfullintegrationwiththeFactoryWizMonitoringsolutiontomakeiteasytoupgradetoafullmonitoringsysteminthefuture.Withthistightintegration,monitoringdatasuchasmachineidlereasonscanbeenteredfromanyDNCclientstation–orfilequeuingcanbeperformedfromdatainputtabletsusedforyourmonitoringsystem.Informationlikemacrooutputsandprobedataareeasilysharedbetweenthetwo.

ResetPort:Allowtheusertoresetaporttoamachine.Typically,aportisresetonlytotroubleshootaproblemwithcommunication.

Control the Machines Visible to a User

1. OntheUserspage,selectauserintheUserlist.

InthelistofMachinesVisible,anymachinegroupthatishighlightedinthelistwillbevisibletotheuseronthemainmenu.Anygroupthatisnothighlightedwillnotbedisplayedtotheuser.

Bydefault,ALLGROUPSishighlightedforanewuser.Thisallowsthenewusertoseeallmachinegroups.

2. InthelistofMachinesVisible,selectagrouptomakeitvisibletotheuser.Selectahighlightedgrouptoclearitandmakeitinvisibletotheuser.HighlighALLGROUPStomakeallmachinevisibletotheuser.

Duplicate an Existing Machine

Itisofteneasierandmorereliabletocreateanewmachinebyduplicatingtheconfigurationofanexistingmachine.Theinstallationcomeswithbasicmachinetypesamples.Asanexample,ifyourfactoryhasFanuccontrols,selectKitamurafromthesamplemachinesthatcomewithyourinstallation.

1. PressorclickamachineontheMainmenuthatyouwanttoduplicate.

2. IntheConfigurationgroup,pressorclickChangeSettings.

4. EnteranameforthenewmachineandpressCreate.

Create a Machine Group

Machinegroupsarepropertiesofmachines.Youdefineamachinegroupintheconfigurationsettingsofamachine.Onceagroupisdefined,itcanbeselectedforothermachines.

MachinegroupshelpyouorganizeyourCNClistbycellordepartment,makingitsimpletofindorsearchformachines.

1. PressorclickamachinelistedontheMainmenu.

2. PressorclickChangeSettings.

3. IntheBasicCommunicationlist,placethecursorintheMachineGroupsettingtohighlightthename.

4. Enteranewnameforthegroup.

Propagate settings to other machines

Thesettingsdefinedforonemachinecanbepropagatedtoothermachines.Forexample,ifyoucreateanewmachinegrouporcustomizesendandreceivedirectories,youcanpropagatethechangestoothermachineswithouthavingtoupdateeachmachineonebyone.

DNC Operations FactoryWizDNCsupportsmultiplesimultaneousfiletransfers,drip‐feedcapability,mid‐programrestart,remoterequests,Mazatroltransfers,andmore.SupportforEthernetmachinesmeansyoucanuseFactoryWizDNCtotransfertomachinesactingasFTPClients,FTPServers,orMicrosoftSMBservers.

ThestructureofFactoryWizDNCseparatesmessageandconfigurationdirectoriessoyoucanuseWindowssecurityfeaturestofurtherlockdownaccesswithoutmanuallymanipulatingeachfile.

FilesthatarenotaccessibletoyourDNCsystemcanautomaticallybeimportedfromlocaldrivesandremovablemediawithoutriskofinterruption.Spendlesstimemovingone‐time‐usefilesintoapprovedprogramdirectories,andneverinterruptadrip‐feedbyaccidentallyremovingaUSBstickagain.
