WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE DAY IN THE GRAD SCHEME?

Signing o the Talent Academy with a team-building exercise climbing the Millennium Dome. A great bonding experience with my new colleagues, a brilliant view, and not something you get to do every day!

WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST IN A COLLEAGUE?

Collaboration. Working as a collective means we can marry everyone’s strengths and expertise to really delivery the best results for our clients. It is reassuring to know your colleagues are there to support you both personally and professionally and ensure you develop.

WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE ADVICE THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TO UPCOMING GRADUATES STARTING THEIR JOB SEARCH?

Be proactive with your own learning and development. Ask questions, watch and observe your colleagues. Align yourself to your areas of interest and demonstrate a readiness to learn.

WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO KORN FERRY?

What attracted me the most to Korn Ferry in the fi rst place is the very well-established graduate scheme. I honestly consider it a fi rst-class program in talent acquisition. and I know it will allow me to acquire more skills and knowledge in a wide range of areas, and the opportunity to grow across the business. Another essential aspect for me is the fact that Korn Ferry is a multinational company and very diverse.

WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE DAY IN THE GRAD SCHEME?

I have had many memorable days, but if I had to choose one I would choose the day during Talent Academy where we did a team activity and donated to a local charity. We were challenged to solve several tasks, and the team with the most points won. Surprisingly, our prize was a children’s bicycle which we eventually donated to a children’s home–it was so rewarding!

WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST IN A COLLEAGUE?

Being new to the workplace, I really value approachability, understanding, and respect in colleagues. When colleagues show those characteristics, it makes it signifi cantly easier for me to ask them questions or to give my opinion about improvements, etc. This in turn allows me to gain knowledge faster and contributes to my development. I am delighted that within Korn Ferry many of my colleagues exhibit those traits!

WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE DAY IN THE GRAD SCHEME?

One of the most memorable opportunities I had was creating and presenting an overview of the Manchester o ce live to our Warsaw Talent Centre. This helped me to build relationships in Warsaw and across the Manchester o ce–organising guest speakers, which vastly improved my networking skills. It was also good to share ideas and share knowledge virtually across di erent o ces in Europe and nice to e-meet my colleagues in Warsaw!

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE ON YOUR DESK TODAY?

I am currently in the induction process for a new client/account that I am working on and I am looking forward to getting started! However, this involves lots of learning to make sure we are up to speed with the entire client recruitment process. Therefore, the biggest challenge facing me today is getting up to speed with this and also practicing for a process certifi cation test that will take place in two days’ time!

WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE ADVICE THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TO UPCOMING GRADUATES STARTING THEIR JOB SEARCH?

I would advise graduates to really think what values are important to them and apply this to their job search, and to really focus on the career fi eld that they would like to join. This is an important time in your career journey and it is better to be selective to make sure you are fulfi lled in your new role. It is the perfect time to really refl ect on your personal career goals and to learn about your own expectations.

WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO KORN FERRY?

For me it was mainly the sheer number of opportunities that the graduate program would open up for me. Korn Ferry o ers an astonishing amount of possibilities to learn and grow, including the challenge of moving to another country to work there.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE ON YOUR DESK TODAY?

In IT recruiting, every day is a challenge! But even though it’s tough to fi nd experienced developers who want to move to Tyrol, it is also so much fun to show people the great possibilities within the Swarovski Corporate IT and see how happy they are once they start working here!

WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE ADVICE THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TO UPCOMING GRADUATES STARTING THEIR JOB SEARCH?

Defi nitely take graduate programs into consideration. A junior role is great and you’ll learn a lot, but a graduate program o ers the opportunity to test out your strengths and really fi nd the right position whilst testing out di erent departments and roles.

I really value honesty–it’s great to work with people who are happy to give feedback and point me in the right direction, and also let me know if I can help them in any way, as this gives a real sense of teamwork.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE ON YOUR DESK TODAY?

Fully understanding the details of all the diverse roles, clients, and industries is a challenge–but a really interesting one. There is a lot to learn and remember when researching and talking to candidates involved in di erent searches; however, it is excellent being involved in and getting exposure to engagements across a variety of sectors and levels.
