Me gustara poner sobre la mesa un tema al cual las organizaciones no le hanotorgado la relevancia necesaria. Hoy podremos ahondar en los efectos que

provoca la elaboracin de un buen Plan de Desarrollo en nuestros Lderes. n

estudio reciente de Manpo!er nos se"ala lo siguiente# $n %m&rica el '() de las

compa"as no ofrecen capacitacin formal ya qu& creen que hicieron una

contratacin adecuada. Desde mi punto de vista esta es una forma muy cmoda

para evadir esta responsabilidad.

%un as* lo preocupante es que solo se est+ hablando de capacitacin formal* si

las compa"as no est+n pensando en este b+sico* entonces donde queda la

inversin en Planes de Desarrollo de sus integrantes.

$n los ,ltimos meses he tenido la oportunidad de dialogar con varios e-ecutivos

de las industrias# %utomotriz* %eroespacial* M&dica* $lectrnica*

elecomunicaciones* /onsumo* etc.* me he podido dar cuenta que e0iste un vaco

en el conocimiento de los beneficios que conlleva la instalacin de un buen Plan

de Desarrollo.

no de estos e-ecutivos me coment que en fechas recientes reunieron a su

equipo gerencial y elaboraron planes de desarrollo para un grupo de

/olaboradores que ellos denominan %ltos Potenciales. Lo e0tra"o es que dichos

colaboradores no participaron en la elaboracin de los mismos. Desde mi punto

dicho plan. 1ntervenciones de este tipo solo nos llevan a un gasto e0cesivo e

ineficiente de capacitacin.

n buen Plan de Desarrollo es el resultado de una interaccin 2efe 3 /olaborador

donde ambos analizan las Habilidades 4erenciales en 5a-a $fectividad en el

/olaborador y buscan llegar a un acuerdo relacionado con las causas* de esta

forma son capaces de encontrar alternativas de solucin que se refle-an en un

Plan. 6o es una tarea f+cil* pero el protagonista es el /olaborador* el 2efe solo

debe actuar como un /oach o gua.

$0isten 7 premisas esenciales de los que debemos hablar antes de cerrar este

encuentro#

Primero* nuestro enfoque debe estar en aquellas posiciones que tienen

contribucin directa con la estrategia* la elaboracin de diagnsticos* assessment

center* 89: proveer+n la informacin necesaria para que 2efe 3 /olaborador

puedan tener insumos para dichos planes.

Segundo* por ning,n motivo abandonemos al resto los colaboradores*

utilicemos sistemas de ran;eos* encuestas* etc* y los respectivos di+logos con su
