A MESSAGE FROM EXTREME YOUTH DIRECTOR
Dave & Anita Helmstatder, Extreme Youth Director & Wife
We are collecting boxed rice and noodles this month for the local food bank if you would like to donate please feel free to drop off in our lobby. Thank you for giving so generously! Many blessings!!!
A typical Wednesday night begins with the teens arriving at 6pm with Bibles and notebooks in hand. Hugs, laughter, high-fives and excited conversations abound. Some settle in around the café ta-bles to talk, others drift outside to play soccer, kick ball or whiffle ball while they wait. Then our mentors arrive and “Extreme” bear hugs and happy greetings are exchanged all around. At 7pm the service opens with worship songs, prayer, announcements and then a game. Things can get messy with anything from water guns to balloons to fro-zen t-shirts and shaving cream being used! Small groups are formed with
our mentors and teens to review the weekly message before we gather together again for closing with a song, prayers and sometimes tears. Our current lesson is F.L.O.A.T. (Fabulous Life of a Teenager). A teaching on how teens don’t have to wait until they are adults to do great things with God. Our Bible verse is 1 Tim. 4:12. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Our group of teens are very active and are involved in many activities including Penn Dell Conven-tion, Ignition, bonfires, tubing, swimming parties and “AFTERSHOCK”.
CLC’S Teens are “Extreme”. Do you ever wonder what goes on during a Wednesday evening teen service?

Sunday mornings we have 15-18 teens attend Sunday School with each taking turns reading His word. We appreci-ate your prayers and support and we couldn’t do it without you. Special thanks to our mentors for genuinely praying, sharing and “listening with a caring heart” to our kids.
Our Teens are not your regular every-day teens…. They are EXTREME!
