Program Scope: 2015 vision to shrink the active cleanup area to less than 75 square miles (down to 11 square miles

with ARRA funding) and focus all resources on full-scale cleanup of the Central Plateau, including: – Disposition of special nuclear material– Remediation of contaminated environmental sites and groundwater– Exhumation of buried waste– Removal of contaminated sludge from basins along the Columbia River– Placing nuclear reactors in interim safe storage– Deactivation, decontamination, decommissioning, and demolition of facilities and structures

Savannah River Site Liquid Waste ContractClient: U.S. Department of Energy

Project Scope: Treatment and disposal of an estimated 35 million gallons of

radioactive liquid waste stored in 49 underground tanks utilizing the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) and Saltstone Facility

Operational closure of the tanks and the deactivation of the major liquid waste facilities and equipment
