MESSAGE GOAL: The goal of this session is to help you to understand the universal principles that stand behind all of the teaching of DMPD. Knowing these principles will help you understand why we do what we do in DMPD and will help you to internalize DMPD.MAIN POINTS OF THIS SESSION:1. Know the 21 Principles of DMPD.2. Understand the importance of these Principles. 3. Learn how to use these 21 Principles during

the DMPD training.

THE 21 PRINCIPLES OF DMPD

Principle 1:Work hard at support. “The horse is made ready for the day of battle...” Prov. 21:31a Realize that DMPD begins by contacting the contact.Principle 2:Trust God completely to give the victory. “...but victory rests with the Lord.” Prov. 21:31bPrinciple 3:Keep your attitude about DMPD good and always improving. Principle 4:Develop a strategy that will enable you to work smarter, not harder.

Principle 5:Be organized so as not to waste time.Principle 6:Have a plan and be disciplined in the way you use your time.

Principle 7:Stay in control at all times.

 Principle 8:Network well for contacts so that you get all possible referrals from a person.  Principle 9:Have scheduled calling times planned to reach your contacts for appointments.

Principle 10:Reach your contacts by the simplest and quickest way possible to make an appointment.Principle 11:Get the most appointments in the time you have.Principle 12:Make a good first impression and gain credibility and acceptance.Principle 13:Once an appointment is set up, do all you can to ensure that it is kept.Principle 14:On the appointment communicate as clearly as possible with emphasis on vision and building of relationships.

Principle 15:In the close be clear as to what you want them to do.Principle 16:Challenge them for one challenging amount.Remember, “Small plans don’t inflame the minds of men.” Principle 17:Be specific and get as much closure as possible on everything.Principle 18:Get their decision as soon as possible. Follow-up faithfully and quickly to get a decision.Principle 19:Make it as easy as possible for the person to give and maintain control over the first gift.

Principle 20:Thank them soon.Principle 21:Keep in touch regularly and continue to impart vision and build relationships and share exciting war stories.

1. Be thoroughly familiar with the 21 Principles and understand why they work.

2. Learn how to use these Principles effectively in DMPD (i.e. See how they relate to what you do).
