LEADING BOLDLY FACILITATED DISCUSSION: GROUND RULES

Design and facilitation teamThe “Leading Boldly Workshop” is designed and facilitated by Patrice Schneider and a team of Architects Of Group Genius – a consulting

practice focused on creating collaborative experiences allowing organizations and communities to co-design innovative solutions to their most complex and pressing challenges (their clients include the Harvard Business School, the World Economic Forum, Feeding America, and The Bridgespan Group).

You are asked to respect the following Ground Rules, designed to maximise the use and value of your time together.

Your attention, undivided. Our most productive and interesting work comes about when we are in a state of “deep immersion.” These rules are essential to ensure that all participants can reach this state and maximize the value of this experience.

> FROM BEGINNING TO END: This is a journey that needs to begin and end at the same time for everyone. The invitation is for the entire duration of the event – we trust you understand and avoid late arrivals and early departures. Partial participation affects not only the individual experience, but also the collective one.

> UNDIVIDED ATTENTION: We need everyone to offer their best contribution. For this reason you will be kindly asked to switch off your mobile phones, smart phones, laptops and tablets during the work sessions. “100% presence and focus” are essential for the capacity of doing interesting work and connecting with others in meaningful conversations. > THE FLOW MATTERS: The work program will be fluid: we do not have a fixed agenda. Hence, there will be no formal breaks: coffee, tea, and snacks will always be available throughout the afternoon/morning in a dedicated area.

> SNEAKERS? Yes: sneakers or any other type of comfortable shoes are highly recommended. The days will be interactive and dynamic, and only a limited portion of the time will be spent sitting on chairs. Casual clothing is okay, too. No formalities…
