Message from the Director
Dear families, Thank you for showing interest in YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln. As a past camper and now a parent of current campers, Camp Abe Lincoln holds a special place in my heart. The personal growth I see in children after just one week of camp keeps me passionate about our camping program. I have been blessed to be the Executive Director at Camp Abe Lincoln for six years and the campers continue to inspire me. YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln runs overnight and day camp programs where we put children in intentional situations that will positively impact their lives. Starting at age four and going through seventeen, children of all ages will benefit from the astounding educator that is the environment while they build positive relationships with other campers and counselors. During your child’s time at camp, they will have the opportunity to participate in some amazing activities. More importantly, they will be engaged by counselors who work to instill the four core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Join us and let us help build some life-changing memories for your child. Sincerely, Zach Klipsch, Executive Director

Where Are We?We are located two miles west of Buffalo, Iowa on Highway 22 along the Mississippi River. Just 12 miles from downtown Davenport.
Our StaffHaving the highest quality staff is a top priority for a successful summer experience. Our counselors, all high school graduates, join our Camp family from the local area and from around the world through our international staff member program. Every staff member undergoes background checks and participates in an intense training program. This training includes CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, Building Positive Relationships, and the Care and Well Being of Campers. Your child’s safety is our top priority.
“We had sent a baby to the college-age counselors and they sent us back a little boy with the confidence to walk into kindergarten like he knew what he was doing.” -Janet Hill, Camper Parent
Camp Pricing
As a part of the Scott County Family Y, Camp Abe Lincoln is a not for profit charity. We believe that no child should be turned away from having a camping experience from due to a parent’s financial inability to pay a fee. With that in mind, we have a tier pricing structure that allows parents to select some financial assistance if needed. The tier you select does not change the quality of program your child will receive.
Tier B This is our partially subsidized rate. Financial assistance is given from our annual Partner with Youth Kids to Camp campaign.
Tier C This is our heavily subsidized rate. Financial assistance is given form our annual Partner with Youth Kids to Camp campaign and community grants. *Additional financial assistance is available by completing a Financial Assistance form available on our website
Tier A This is the true cost of camp. The majority of our campers fit into this category.
Day camp offers the fun and adventure of camp without spending the night. Campers will spend time outdoors doing a variety of activities including archery, canoeing, horseback riding, themed arts and crafts, and games. All the while campers will play, explore, sing, and make new friends.
