WELCOME

As the Chairman of British Water Ski Racing, it is my pleasure together with GB Team Captain Karen Brooks and the entire Racing Committee to

once again welcome you to the British National Water Ski Racing 2013 season.

This year British Waterski Racing will have two National series which will consist of Marathon Races & Sprint Races, the Marathon Series will comprise six venues: Stone, Lyme Regis, Hunstanton, Weston Super Mare & Brixham with the nal race in Whitstable. The newly re-introduced Sprint Series will be in Scotland at Lochearnhead for races 1, 2, 3 & 4, followed by Cardi Bay for race 5 & 6.

I am pleased we can again look forward to a full programme of Europe Cup races this year; Tulln in Austria host rounds 1 & 2, with the Viersel Diamond Race as round 3 and Geel round 4 both of which are in Belgium, whilst Eguzon in France

hosts the nal round 5 on the 28th July, which is preceded by a youth training camp 24th – 26th July.

2013 is the year of the IWWF 18th World Championships which are to be held at Puerto Colon, Tenerife (Canary Islands), Spain with racing from the 5th – 15th September. The rst four races in the British National Marathon Series Championships will be the selection races for our GB squad of skiers and team members.

The venue for the 2013 Racing Ball will once again be the Thistle Hotel on the Seafront at Brighton on November 23th, where we shall be celebrating not only another successful year in British National Ski Racing but hopefully some major achievements in the World Championships.

In conclusion I would like to wish everyone a very enjoyable, successful and safe year of Water Ski Racing in 2013.
