WE WELCOME ALL NEWCOMERS AND VISITORS TO BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH. If you would like to

register at Blessed Sacrament, registration forms are available at the back of the church, in the parish office, or register

online at blsac.org.

It is our custom that statements testifying to the active, participating, contributing status of an individual be provided

for those wishing to be sacramental sponsors, or to receive a sacrament. We cannot issue such statements if you are not

a registered and active member of Blessed Sacrament. You must use the offertory envelopes provided to registered

parishioners to verify your active status.

BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/children baptized should contact the Parish Office. A preparatory

session is mandatory for the proper formation of parents and godparents. You must be an active member at Blessed

Sacrament (3 months min.).

MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter into a sacramental marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six months

prior to the intended date.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION: Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments are taken care of

by the Office of Faith Formation. Please call Sarah Runko at 843-509-0979.

VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish Office should a relative/friend who is homebound/hospitalized need a

pastoral visit or the Sacrament of Anointing. A priest will attend to the Sacrament and, as needed, will arrange for Holy

Communion to be brought to your loved one.

A "Registered and Active" family/individual is one who:

1.Has been formally registered in the parish for at least 3 months.

2.Participates in Worship through weekly attendance at a Sunday Mass.

4.Is involved in a Parish or School Ministry through the sacrificial giving of Time, Talent & Treasure.

• If you give online, please turn in your empty envelopes weekly at Mass and check "I give online."

• If you contribute periodically through the collection, please remember to put in envelopes weekly, even if

empty, and mark "I attended Mass."

• Contributions in cash can only be considered when presented in the parish envelope.

Bautismo

Los padres que deseen bautizar a sus hijos deben ponerse en contacto con la Oficina Parroquial para hacer los

Matrimonio

Aquellos con deseos de entrar al Sacramento del Matrimonio deben llamar o venir a la Oficina Parroquial al menos

seis meses previos a la fecha deseada para la celebración.

Actualmente, debido a las pautas de precaución ante el coronavirus, las visitas a enfermos siguen restringidas.

Sagrada Primera Comunión y Confirmación La preparación para la recepción de estos Sacramentos es llevada a

cabo por el ministerio de la Formación en la Fe. La preparación de los adultos se ofrece a través del programa del

Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos.

Es nuestra práctica presentar la declaración que testifica el estado activo de un individuo a aquellos que desean ser

padrinos o desean recibir un sacramento. No podemos emitir tales declaraciones si usted no es un miembro activo

de Blessed Sacrament. Para poder verificar su estado activo, debe usar en el ofertorio los sobres personalizados que

MEDITACIÓN DEL EVANGELIO

17 de enero 2021

2.º Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario

En este relato del Evangelio, se dice que Juan estaba con sus discípulos y,

que, en ese momento, Jesús pasaba por ahí. Juan, ve a Jesús y dice a sus

discípulos: “Ese es el Cordero de Dios” (Juan 1:36). Desde ese momento,

Juan deja de ser importante y sede el lugar al Cordero de Dios. Por lo tan-

to, los discípulos, sin ningún retraso ni pregunta, siguieron a Jesús. Era el

momento del encuentro, de la intimidad, de pasar un buen rato con él. El

Papa Francisco lo describe de la siguiente manera: “Verdaderamente cada

uno tiene su encuentro con Jesús. Pensemos en los primeros discípulos que seguían a Jesús y per-

manecieron con Él toda la tarde - Juan y Andrés, el primer encuentro - y fueron felices por esto”.

El Papa continúa su reflexión diciendo: “Todos nosotros hemos tenido en nuestra vida algún en-

cuentro con Él, un encuentro verdadero, en el que sentí que Jesús me miraba. No es una experiencia

sólo para santos. Y si no recordamos, será bonito hacer un poco de memoria y pedir al Señor que

nos dé la memoria, porque Él se acuerda, Él recuerda el encuentro. Una buena tarea para hacer en

casa, sería precisamente volver a pensar cuando sentí verdaderamente al Señor cerca de mí, cuando

sentí que tenía que cambiar de vida y ser mejor o perdonar a una persona, cuando sentí al Señor que

me pedía algo y, por ello, cuando me encontré al Señor (Homilía en Santa Marta, 24 de abril de

2015). Para nosotros ahora, cabe la siguiente pregunta. ¿Dónde, dónde, encontraré al Señor?

Definición de un miembro activo

Una familia o un individuo es considerado miembro activo cuando:

1. Ha estado inscrito formalmente en la parroquia por lo menos tres meses.

2. Participa en el culto mediante la asistencia semanal a las Misas dominicales.

3. Usa los sobres semanales suministrados y

4. Está involucrado en un ministerio de la iglesia o del colegio, compartiendo generosamente su tiempo,

talento y dinero.

Tenga la amabilidad de colocar sus sobres semanales en la cesta de la colecta cada fin de semana.

Si usted da su ofrenda por internet, por favor, en la Misa, entregue su sobre vacío marcando la casilla «I give onli-

ne». El sobre semanal es indicativo de su participación en la Misa.

Si usted contribuye periódicamente por medio de la colecta de la Misa, por favor, recuerde entregar su sobre se-

manalmente, aunque sea vacío.

El no usar los sobres por tres meses consecutivos coloca a la persona o familia como inactiva. Los sobres y las con-

tribuciones se registran en la semana en que se reciben.

Un miembro activo de la Iglesia Católica Blessed Sacrament puede contar con el privilegio de un descuento en el

pago del Colegio Católico Blessed Sacrament o del Bachillerato Bishop England.

En estos tiempos de pandemia, comprendemos la situación de la asistencia a la Misa y su dispensa. Si por condi-
