It gives us great pleasure to announce the new BCCIE International Awards Program, one that recognizes the professionalism, dedication and efforts of an exemplary group of experts and practitioners in the diverse field of international education in British Columbia.
Public and widespread recognition of the expertise, contributions and great abilities we have in our sector is long overdue. The BCCIE International Awards will support the sector’s further growth and development as well as show its appreciation for outstanding achievement.
Awards will be made at the Final Banquet and Awards Gala of the BCCIE Summer Seminar in Whistler on Thursday, June 24, 2010.
BCCIE International Awards will be decided by peer committee and will be as awarded in the following categories:
International Education Distinguished Leadership Award
This Award recognizes the unique and important accomplishments and contributions of an international educator or member of the community who has effected change and leadership in the field of international education and whose work will have a lasting impact.
International Education Distinguished Service Award
This Award recognizes the unique and important accomplishments and contributions of an international educator or member of the community who has ‘led from behind’, who through determined years of service has supported the students, activities and community of the field of international education.
Innovation in International Marketing Award
This Award recognizes innovation and success in support of the education export sector in British Columbia and in the marketing of our world-class education system.
Rising Star in International Education Award
This Award recognizes tomorrow’s leaders, our up-and-coming talent, and the next generation of leaders and practitioners in the field of international education.
To nominate one of your colleagues, please include the following information and return the full package to [email protected] before May 14, 2010. Please include “BCCIE International Awards” in your subject line.
