English + Canadian Public Health System
The Canadian Summer Seminar offered by Concordia University of Edmonton is an intensive international summer school which provides students with the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the English language while immersing themselves in their field of study in public health.
Morning sessions offer intensive English courses for students with an intermediate level of the language, taught by a certified instructor with a Master’s Degree in English as a Second Language (ESL). Afternoon sessions offer either a series of academic lectures on the Canadian Public Health system.
Classes take place at Concordia University of Edmonton’s beautiful riverside campus, minutes away from the vibrant downtown city core.
9:30AM – 3:00PM, Monday to Friday, five (5) hours a day. Cultural, sport and tourism activities in the afternoons and on weekends. A certificate will be issued at the end of successful completion of the course.
Course Content 9:00 – 10:15 - Intensive English reading and writing 10:30 – 11:45 - Intensive English speaking and listening 11:45 – 12:45 - Lunch break 12:45 – 14:00 - Intro to the Canadian Publish Health System 14:15 – 15:30 - Issues in the Canadian Public Health System 15:30 – early evening - Discover Canadian history, culture and nature

Accommodations Concordia University of Edmonton has residence facilities located on campus. Residence rooms are usually shared with another student and are furnished with two single beds, desks, dressers and chairs.
Meals By applying to stay in residence, students will also have access to a meal plan through the cafeteria, which provides a variety of hot and cold meals, snacks, drinks and fruit.
