Cecelia will conduct a Beginning Sewing Series at Southside from 6 to 8
PM on Thursdays in June. • June 4—Introduction to Sewing. This session will
be to familiarize beginning sewers with the terms, equipment, and supplies needed for sewing. Will most likely include a trip to Wal-Mart’s sewing sec-tion to look at fabrics and supplies. Participants can purchase fabric and supplies for each project at this time if they like.
• June 11—Magic Pillow Case Project. Students will use a straight seam to make a decorative pillowcase.
• June 18—Chub Pin Cushion Project. Students will use a straight seam to make a pin cushion, as well as learn to trim seams, turn fabric, and make box cor-ners.
• June 25—Pajama Pants Project. Students will learn to use a pattern for cutting, as well as sewing a curved seam and sewing hems and casings.
It would help if each participant had their own sewing machine, but is not necessary. A list of supplies and project instructions will be handed out the first night.
We plan to add military service memorial bricks to our
garden this year. If you know of any military personnel
(members, former members, or spouses of members/
former members) who do not have a brick in our
garden, please let the church office know.
Thank you for all the prayers, cards, calls, Facebook and text
messages as well as the beauful flowers that were sent for
the passing of my father. Also, thank you to Group 6 for the
beauful spring wreath. We really appreciated the ones that
traveled to Evansville & came to the visitaon. Please conn-
ue to pray for my mother, June Ubelhor, with her health.
In Chrisan love, Carla & Terry Dodson
