Would you like to be able to view our online classes on something
bigger than your phone or laptop screen? Did you know that our
classes are also available on YouTube? You can watch our classes
LIVE at 7 & 9 OR you can watch the classes a few hours later when
YouTube adds them to our archived classes. With YouTube, you can
easily watch our classes on most Smart TV sets.
Many Smart TVs come already loaded with YouTube as a channel or
in some cases, you can go to the list of channels available and add
YouTube to your TV. In most cases (if not all), you will need to sync
your YouTube account with your TV. If you don’t have a YouTube
account, it’s easy and free to sign up. Just call me and I will talk you
through this if you have any problems. Please remember that I have
counseling commitments every evening, 7 days each week, from
around 5 to past 10.
With YouTube, when time comes for one of our classes at 7 or 9, all
you need to do is turn on the TV, flip over to YouTube channel and
pull up 70 West church of Christ. If you are tuning in AFTER 7 or 9 you
will need to wait a few hours until they are added to the archived list.
These online Bible classes are another way we are taking the gospel
to the world around us.
Questions coming up on BIBLE INVESTIGATION this week: Monday-“Why do bad things keep on happening to me?”; Tuesday “If you could only preach one sermon what would it be?”; Wednesday-“What can Jesus do for my depression?”; Thursday-“Why doesn’t God do something about the problems of the world?”; Friday-“Where can a Christian family turn for clean entertainment?”; Saturday-“My family died in a tornado. Where was your God?”

Brothers & Sisters,
If you have been following the statistics you are aware that Garland county
now has the highest count of active COVID-19 cases to date. Obviously
COVID is still part of our lives and the risks remain. We encourage you to
continue to follow the directives from the Arkansas Department of Health
and the CDC for Personal Protective Devices, Social Distancing and
personal contact.
This includes for worship services.
For those attending the early service for high risk individuals: Please wear masks Please use the disposable, individual communion cups available in each
foyer rather than taking them from a server Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer Observe social distancing guidelines If someone is reluctant to shake your hand or hug you, please respect
their wishes and maintain your distance
Additional precautions will be implemented this week for those serving in
the service.
If you are in any of the following categories, we strongly encourage you to
continue to use the Facebook or YouTube streams to participate in worship
and Bible Study:
High Risk age group as defined by the CDC Have underlying health conditions that COVID-19 will exacerbate Have been sick in the last two weeks or have had known exposure to a
COVID-19 patient within the last three weeks Continue to feel the need to avoid social gatherings
We all desire to be back together as a united congregation but let’s continue
to be vigilant in protecting ourselves, our families and our community,
especially as we see the infection rates continue to rise with the lifting of
restrictions.

Hot Springs Christian Radio https://www.truth.fm/hs/ Come unto ME
Matthew 11:28-30: “Come unto me, all ye that
labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy,
and my burden is light.”
This is the invitation given to mankind by the Savior of all.
This invitation was given to us by the grace and mercy of
God. Notice as He says “Come unto Me…” Jesus is the
Source. Jesus is the Provider. Jesus is the Rest. He did not
say come unto something or anything or nothing. The
Source for rest and comfort is Jesus Christ. AS we come
unto Him , He will give us rest (vs.28). This is an interesting
idea of the Source. Jesus gives rest, to all who will accept
His rest. This rest is for the wearied and the worn out! Are
you wearied or worn out by living in this world? Go unto
Him!
Jesus offers the burden of His yoke. Now, that sounds so
weird! A yoke is a piece of wood used to harness animals
together for work purposes. The yoke Jesus offers is easy
and light. If you are weary and worn out then take up this
burden?!? This “burden” is the burden of being His servant.
In the service of the Lord, we have peace, hope, help and
provision. What a Great God we serve! Jesus is offering the
burden of protection and love. Would you love to put on this
burden? Go unto Him!
All of our needs and desires are all fulfilled in Jesus. We
need to understand that Christ is our Source of everything
and the yoke is the burden of compassion. When we are
fully given unto Jesus Christ, then we can teach other how
to relieve the stress and concerns of this life. Go unto Him!
