ANNLINES St. Ann’s Residence Newsletter
March 2020
Mission: To provide a caring home for seniors where they can find calm from the storms of life, regardless of status.
Hello Everyone,
First off, we would like to start out by saying THANK YOU to everyone who
helped us get through the recent flu outbreak. Our residents, family and staff
are remarkable! Thank you to everyone that cooperated by remaining in your
rooms and the staff that worked extra trying to care for everyone and sanitiz-
ing our public areas to slow the spread of this illness. Hopefully all our efforts
have stopped the spread and we are on the mend.
March looks like it is going to be a busy month here with another of our fa-
mous Rummage and Bake Sales. It will be held on Friday, March 20th from
10am -4pm and Saturday, March 21st 9am to 2pm. Make sure to tell you fam-
ily and friends to come and to spread the word. If you would like extra post-
ers to help advertise please see Jan Lappy or Sharon Lenzen. The Resident
Program Service Department always has a lot of different activities planned
each month. If you have ideas or suggestions, please let Sharon know or one
of your Resident Council Representatives and they can bring it to the council
meetings.
Also, a reminder that on Sunday, March 8th, Daylight Savings Time Begins so
remember to set your clocks one hour ahead when you go to bed Saturday
night , March 7th.
Sincerely,
Scott and Jan
Administrator’s Letter
Nurses Corner
Hello Residents and Family Members:
I want to introduce myself. My name is Lynn Shepard and I started at
St. Ann’s in the beginning of February as your Director of Nursing.
My office is on the 1st floor across from the nursing station. I have
been in the Long Term Care and Assisted Living industry for the past
10 years and am happy to be at St. Ann’s.
What a busy month it has been! I want to say that I think we are get-
ting past the recent GI outbreak that we endured this past month. I
would like to thank everyone that suffered through this for your will-
ingness to stay in your rooms when required and visitors limiting
your visitation which helped in preventing the spread of illness as
much as possible.
Although past the peak of the GI illness we are still not out of the
window for the respiratory flu. If you have any symptoms of cough-
ing or fever please report this to the staff as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or just want to stop by and introduce your-
self please feel free to drop by anytime.
Lynn Shepard RN

The Food Service Department would like to extend a personal thank
you to each and every one of you who helped out during our Virus Out-
break. We really appreciate all that you did to help everything run as
smooth as possible. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without all of
your help. Thank you very much!

Please remember to nominate any employee you see going above and
beyond their job. The Above and Beyond box is in the Patio Room.

March 20th and Saturday, March 21st. Hope to see you there!
Once again we are looking for residents who are in-
terested in serving on our Resident Council. We are
