About Us 4
Inside this issue:
In December the employees of the Marian Home and Vil-lage started a volunteer group.
This group was established as a way for our employees to give back to the community.
Some of the opportunities our employees helped with were:
Bikes for Tykes: The employees donated enough mon-ey to purchase 2 bikes for Fort Dodge Ford’s incredible program.
Beacon of Hope: Several of our staff made a meal and served the residents of the Beacon of Hope on 12/18.
Meals on Wheels: 8 of our staff took time out of their busy Christmas week to deliver Meals on Wheels to resi-dents around the community.
We are currently accepting any canned goods to help re-plenish the various food pantry’s in and around Fort Dodge. In January we will be helping out Holy Trinity Parish’s food pantry.
Marian Home Employees have an attitude of gratitude.

staff will be glad to help bundle your loved one up and get to the car if needed.
We are in the flu sea-son now so if you are not feeling well we ask that you not visit for a few days to pre-vent the spread of any colds or flu to
our residents. If you notice your loved one is not feeling well make sure to visit with the nurse so we can
treat them quickly. Thank You.
With the cold weather and ice already here, I would like to offer a reminder that if you are taking your loved one out and about please make sure they are dressed warm as the cold weather can take a toll on their fragile skin. Also take extra caution when walking outside with them, holding on to them to prevent a slip on the ice as it can happen very quickly. Nursing
