Research title: Early Press in India and the Bengal Renaissance. Earned a Critical Language Enhancement Award for 6 months intensive study of Bangla at the American Institute of Indian Studies, Calcutta. Researching primary sources at the Victoria Memorial, High Court of Calcutta, National Library of India and others. Completed first draft of a book on Hicky’s Bengal Gazette, Asia’s first newspaper.

British Library London, UK Researcher September - October 2011

Researched 19th Century Indian and South African Newspapers at the British Library. Surveyed original and heretofore un-researched primary documents. Sponsored by the University of Rochester’s Phi Beta Kappa O’Hern Scholarship for post-graduate study. Gained an impetus for researching historical Indian newspapers.

Discover Borderlands Colombo, Sri Lanka Assistant Manager, Tourism & Special Projects October 2012- June 2013

Managed sales requests for an Adventure Travel Company in Sri Lanka, and created an online booking system. Project Manager for new Borderlands' website, including content creation. Wrote business contracts between Borderlands and leading Sri Lankan brands and specialized in acquiring approvals for projects from the Sri Lankan government.

BoardSource Washington, DC Member Services Coordinator June – September 2012

Handled inquiries, managed BoardSource's subscriber database, and organized and directed tasks to coworkers as Member Services Coordinator.

National Public Radio Washington, DC All Things Considered-Opinion Intern January – June 2012

Production Assistant for articles featured on All Things Considered. Authored pieces airing on NPR’s intern publication. A fast paced position requiring intense attention to detail. Learned journalism skills including: cultivating sources, AP style, technical editing, and digital media and audio production.

Served as head of the University of Rochester’s Campus Times editorial board. Managed website content and established digital archives.
