Dear Madam and Sir,
We have the pleasure of inviting you to the 8th yearly ALFI TA & Distribution Forum that will take place
on:
Wednesday, October 22nd 2014
Chambre de Commerce
7, rue Alcide de Gasperi
Luxembourg Kirchberg
Access map: www.cc.lu (under contact)
Since we launched the TA & Distribution Forum community in 1999, this is actually the 15th year that we
hold yearly TA Forums in Luxembourg.
We want to firstly - Thank You All – for keeping this important Fund Operations community going strong
over the last 15 years.
The last 15 years have certainly shaped what TA is today. It is an opportune time to briefly look back to
where we started from, most importantly, look ahead as to where the TA industry is heading in view of
the regulatory, legal and market changes, present and future.
The key theme of the ALFI TA & Distribution Forum 2014 edition will be:
TA 2020
Moving forward with the global Fund industry
This free one-day event will allow us all to share the key subject matters that continuously transform
Luxembourg’s Global TA and the evolving Global Distribution Support Services operating models.
This year, we will consider the influence that key regulatory and industry events have had over the last 15
years and the resulting shape of the TA and Distribution Support Services’ businesses today.
We will continue our yearly open discussion on how Luxembourg fund industry players are dedicated to
ensure the ease of doing business in Luxembourg-domiciled funds amidst the sea of regulatory impacts
and industry developments affecting us today and the near future.
Some highlights of the interesting program currently being put together for you:
- The morning will be introduced by an overview of TA from 1999 to 2015 covering 4 key dimensions –
People – Organisation – Processes – Automation & Standardisation. We will be given an opportunity to
think “out of the box” with a guest speaker. These 2 introductory topics will be followed by our usual
FOCUS sessions providing us with a review of the Luxembourg fund industry, FOCUS on Distribution
landscape and FOCUS on Regulation – delving into today and looking into the near future.
- The afternoon will be dedicated to TA 2020. We will kick off with a lively debate on TA 3.0, facilitated
by TASC members. The debate will indeed set the scene to the 2 consecutive breakout sessions to
follow, splitting up into smaller groups to foster open question and answer sessions covering the 4 key
dimensions supporting our industry:
1) People – Organisation
2) Processes – Automation & Standardisation.
We look forward to welcoming you on Wednesday, the 22nd of October 2014.
