AEROSOLS IN BAKAR

Here is what we did up to now with the aerosols in Bakar.This is the nicest day andthe best pictures.We went to Bakar four times,the last time November,7th

We chose four sites, the first picture shows the measuring of aerosols near the oilrefinery, from the west side of the Bakar Bay.

Then we went to the other side!near the bulk cargo port "and on the way we mademeasurements on every chosen site.# am controlling the measurements to be surethet they are correct.

To controll the instrument aerosols measurements we are going to use a wet $%armethod&'we will collect the %ars on (ecember,))nd and make a chemical analysis Weput two %ars near the bulk cargo port!if somebody spills the specimen" and one at ourschool*s site as a test specimen.

#n our school lab the students measured the conductivity of the soil specimens.

# am sorry you think that the pH meter # chose costs too much but in our school labswe have eight pH meters purcased during the last five years and we can*t use anyone of them.# tried to callibrate the one bought last year and before the callibrationthe pH of the distilled water was +, and after -,.# measured the pH with the pHstraps and it was 7 as it should be./o for now # will use the straps and see what will #be able to buy without trowing the money .The - meters cost !-0-12" +1 2 trownaway.

Ten years ago we recieved a meter that cost cca +11 2 and it broke down this year in3une.That showed me that it is better to buy one meter that works than cheap metersthat measure correctly only a few times and after that you can*t be sure of thereadings any more.4nly a small variation in pH means a lot in a chemistry structure.
