The TinCaps C.A.R.E. program stands for Community, Activity, Recreation and Education. The TinCaps are committed to being a positive force in our community. The mission of TinCaps C.A.R.E. is to give back to the citizens of Northeast Indiana through outreach, charitable & community programs and events, fundraising, and partnerships with local and regional charitable organizations.

CHARITABLE ANDCOMMUNITY EVENTSParkview Field hosted more than 100 charitable and community events in 2017, including “Turn the Town Pink” events, a weekly Farmers Market, free Hol-iday Fest activities, & Trick or Treating with Johnny!

FUNDRAISINGThe TinCaps Fundraising Program allows organiza-tions to sell TinCaps tickets and retain a percentage of the profits. Working with Little Leagues, churches, & local schools, the TinCaps helped organizations raise over $28,000 in 2017.

PARTNERSHIPS WITHCOMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONSThe TinCaps partnered with 68 organizations in 2017 through the “Community Organization of the Game”, a program established to highlight community efforts during every TinCaps game.

COMMUNITY OUTREACHThe TinCaps’ mascot and players make appearances at local hospitals, schools, little leagues and a wide array of other community events. In 2017, the TinCaps did 174 player & mascot ap-pearances throughout the region.

CHARITABLE ANDCOMMUNITY PROGRAMSThis year, 387 schools and libraries (118,589 students) participated in the TinCaps Reading Program, an incen-tive-based system that pro-motes reading across Indi-ana, Michigan & Ohio.

Among the 4,500 events hosted thus far at Parkview Field are popular Fort Wayne events (such as the Fort4Fitness, Holiday Fest and Fright Night events, and the Patriotic Pops concert) and new events and traditions including blood drives for the Red Cross and non-profit events and walks. Numerous outside events have also been attracted to Parkview Field such as Division I athletics, major concerts, and events for large conventions.
