AFCI Week is one of the AFCI’s premiere activities – an LA-based event series focused on connecting our global members and event sponsors with high-level industry decision makers. Partnering with leaders in the entertainment and production industries, the four-day long AFCI Week 2019 ensures attendees prime opportunities for networking and lead-generation outcome.

AFCI works with each event partner to curate a guest list targeting specific executives, thereby avoiding multiple approaches. There are five key activities occurring during the span of the four days: Networking Reception, Business-to-Business Industry Day, Physical Production Power Brunch, Taste of the World Locations Show and Education Day.

Industry Networking Reception TUESDAY, APRIL 2, 2019AFCI Members and sponsors will network with key industry decision-makers. This is an opportunity to develop crucial contacts and promote the financial benefits of filming in a

jurisdiction. The AFCI circulates a likely attendee list prior to the event allowing members and sponsors an opportunity for some advance preparation. In 2018 this event had a Member-to-Industry ratio of 1:1, meaning there were ample opportunities to connect and discuss issues with industry representatives.

Business-to-Business Industry Day* WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 2019Following the success of AFCI’s inaugural Business-to-Business Industry Day, hosted at Netflix during Cineposium in September 2018, a new set of executives will be present to speak with film commission member. Presented in a classroom-style setting in forty-five minute blocks, the executives speak about their career, their current role, projects in production around the globe, projects coming down the runway and their needs and wants when working with commissions. Each session involves a minimum 15 minute Q&A.*This event is only open to Film Commission Members

Physical Production Power BrunchTHURSDAY APRIL 4, 2019An exclusive invite-only Brunch discriminately curated by AFCI and media partner The Hollywood Reporter to honor physical production executives.

This event places you alongside the current senior physical production executives from Studios, mini-majors, OTT companies and major production companies across both film and television. A seated affair designed to enable meaningful engagement and create new relationships, the event kicks off with an hour pre-brunch to network with attendees.

Taste of the World Locations ShowTHURSDAY APRIL 4, 2019With a tradeshow structure, this event enables members and sponsors to promote their products and services to content creators and supporting industry. All industry professionals are invited to attend the Taste of the World

Locations Show – registration is FREE and will open early 2019.

Education DayFRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2019Designed as a mix of information sessions and hands-on experience with industry partners, Education Day ensures members and sponsors have the chance to hear from, and discuss with, industry experts a range of critical topics such as Working with Media , The Growing Short-form Space and Cross-border Collaboration

All AFCI Week 2019 events are invitation-only – with the exception of Taste of the World Locations Show, meaning aside from AFCI Members, access to AFCI Week events is exclusive.
