WTM Intro

• A co-operation between Ericsson Radio Systems, SMART AB and Amadeus Global Travel Distribution.

• The WTM goal is to support the mobile business traveller during his whole business traveller value cycle, from planning to expense reporting.

• WTM involves the delivery to mobile professionals of value-added mobile travel services via mobile networks and mobile consumer devices.

WTM Areas of Functionality

• WTM functionality can be divided into three areas:1. Travel Services2. Mobile Office Support/Services3. Travel Related Information

(sometimes location dependant)

• WTM is today optimised for WAP/WML (Ericsson MC218, Ericsson R320 and Ericsson R380) and HTML(IE, Pocket Explorer and Netscape).

Currently WTM supports the following functionality:

– Timetable search (flight)– Availability (flight)– Booking (flight)– Cancellation (flight)– Booking Notification (SMS)

(Not possible to demonstrate during Telecom’99)

WTM Future Development

Some examples of new features in the future are:

– Re-booking (in trial 2000)– Flight information (in trial 2000)– Location based services– Personalised services– Not only flight bookings. Also support for hotel and car

rental bookings.– More mobile office support
