The purpose of this photograph is to show how a large, plain area can not be boring. It can be used in a gallery due to the fact that it has little meaning. The composition is a quarter of the frame to the frame to the left so that the tree is not blocking the scene. There is little depth of field in this photograph as the main part of it finishes at a large distance form the camera. Despite this, the houses in the background are blurred slightly as they are still part of the scene, however they are not relevant to the natural theme. The important parts of this are: composition, orientation and cropping. The colors are cold but they create a warm atmosphere as the dark shadows illustrate the brightness of the sun and the photograph is cropped to have no end to the field on either side. The only meaning of this photograph would be that being outside is better than being indoors, this is justified by the brilliance of the scene. This photo is oxymoronic, this is because there are no leaves on the trees which signifies the winter and cold, on the other hand there is sunshine which creates great shadows and signifies the summer. The subject of the shot is the whole field, this is made significant by the field being covered in the whole shot and the tree not being centered.

The purpose of the photograph is to to show the darkness following a long path into the light. This done by the darkness being the shadow created by the tree and the sunlight at the far field being the light. The composition is in the middle of the frame so that the long path is clearly visible. It is also in the middle so tat it is straight from the position where the picture was taken and that no trees block the shot. There is little depth of field in this photograph as the main part of it finishes at a large distance form the camera. In this shot both the background and the foreground is considered and important to the shot, as there are trees in the foreground which are part of the shot and there is trees in the background which are part of the the shot. This inclusion increases the affect of the natural theme of the photograph. There is also benches and and a basketball court in the shot, however they are not relevant to the theme.
