GoalAll 8th grade students will have the opportunity to learn and demonstrate their computer literacy skills and knowledge in the use of the Internet and Internet tools as well as basic productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and common program functions.

Measure of Effectiveness•% of the total number of 8th graders tested.•% of the total number of 8th graders passing the certification exams.

As students pass each exam their certification for that exam is posted in their digital transcript.

Brief History of CLC

2003-2004

Program conceived, developed and introduced to the schools to be piloted the following year.

2004-2005

11 Pilot schools received Windows based CLC computers.

~250 students tested ~20 students passed

49 schools participate. Installation of local content servers completed
