We’re having a great time at Elmhurst with the warmer temper-atures that are help-ing our newly plant-ed gardens to grow. Thanks to our resi-dent gardeners, the results are beauti-ful.
Planning for our big summer fundraising bash, the Shrimp Boil on the Lawn, is well underway. Call us for reservations and details. It’s go-ing to be fantastic.
We’re getting ac-quainted with a number of new resi-dents and there are several others who will move in soon.
I want to congratu-late our WVU nurs-ing student/summer employee Sarah Shia for passing the AMAP certification exam. She’s now working with our nursing staff.
Have a great summer. Jamie
Gone Fish’n We gathered around our version of a fishing hole to toss in a line for fun and some Elmhurst bucks. Janice Bippus, RN, and Melissa Mansuetto, assis-tant program director, led this fun springtime event! More fishing slated this summer. No worms.
Terri Conaway, head of housekeeping, was honored upon her 25th year of ser-vice to Elmhurst in May. A cake and gifts were present-ed to Terri during lunch in the dining room. Bravo!

We Say Goodbye to SMPS Pals We Say Goodbye to SMPS Pals We Say Goodbye to SMPS Pals We Say Goodbye to SMPS Pals ---- Our St. Mike’s TKs stopped by to perform for us and again for one final hug train. The eighth grade performed Seussical the Musical for us. Thanks for the wonderful memories throughout the year.
May was an incredibly busy month
filled with lots of entertainment. The
Wheeling Park High School bluegrass
band gave a rousing performance to
start Memorial Day weekend. The St.
Mike’s TK‘s musical was fabulous.
The eighth grade class performed a
fun Seussical the Musical.
We enjoyed an early Memorial Day
red, white, and blue picnic. Fun was
the name of the game, from sombrero
toss to our fun fishing for bucks and
our Name That Tune game. Never a
dull moment at Elmhurst.
June Activities’ Calendar
Lunch at Later Alligator in Centre Market was a won-derful outing on a spring day. For many, it was a first trip to this unique eatery operated by our friend Susan Had-dad, proprietor of the crepe-themed restaurant.
