PREPARATION Be passionate about your project : If you

don't love your project, no one else will Know your project inside out : Its OK to

read from script, but it is better to tell from the heart

Be very disciplined about you time allocation : You have a lot to tell in very short time

Write your presentation and time it : This will give you a better sense of flow

PREPARATION Make use of your chairperson or team leader : In

the case of pitching in group, use your chairperson as talking partner

Think about the creative material you want to use: Make sure the design, image or animation tells the story

Work out who will be your presenting partner and their respective role : All team members must be aware of their role

Technical run through : Check and recheck equipments

PASSION + FACT

The presentation must reflect your passion and inspiration for the project, but must also have enough factual information in order for the audience to make informed judgement

SEGMENTATION

It is wise to apply segmentation for your presentation mentally and visually

Drive your presentation and audience from one point to another in a flowing and connected manner

RESEARCH

If you are targetting a specific broadcaster / investors, make sure to do your homework

Watch their channel / study their website Know their target audience Get familiar with their program schedule Find out and be sure to talk to the right person

in charge of the right thing Learn about your audience's appetite by

browsing through their library

PANIC ATTACK! In the case of some points you're trying

to make does not arrive – Just cut it out Technical hitches – Just keep going and

let team members fix it Awkward of negative feedback – Thanks

them for the feedback and accept it gracefully

No feedback at the end – Chairperson could come up with own question and have team members answer them

TIPS AND TRICKS

Pitch bible

Create a pitch bible and share it with the team. All team members should have same level of product knowledge

Create a different kind of pitch for different kind of situation : elevator pitch, coffee pitch, group pitch, hall audience pitch

Hired audience

Plant agitator in the audience to have more vibrant interaction

TIPS AND TRICKS

Visual aid

Wise to play relevant clip at beginning of presentation

1 minute is ideal time, never exceed 2 minutes

Storylime

Use sketches / images to tell the storyline

Make sure sketches / images able to tell the whole story, not just certain act / scene

Explain the storyline in 3 act play
