The heart of Mitel’s Freedom Architecture is the Mitel Communications Director (MCD), a single software stream that underpins a diverse spectrum of communications capabilities and configurations. MCD call control software allows you to operate your communications system with flexibility, ease, and reliability on your choice of platform such as the family of Mitel 3300 Controllers, industry standard servers from Oracle®, HP®, IBM®, and Dell®, or on the VMware® vSphere™ 5 virtualization platform.

MCD’s embedded Dynamic Extension solution provides users with the ultimate in cost-effective, “no compromise” mobility by letting you select up to eight devices, regardless of make, to act as your business phone, so all of your phone numbers collapse into one, giving you a single identity through your business extension.

MITEL PRIVATE MOBILE*Unify your office and wireless communications services with Mitel Private Mobile. Mitel Private Mobile is the latest addition to a robust family of business focused Mitel Mobility offerings to meet all your communications needs:

· Provides a Private GSM network, with or without Public Mobile Network Integration

· Uses standard GSM handsets/smartphones· No client application required· Provides guaranteed QoS for in-building or campus GSM· Locally managed Voice, SMS & Data services· Potential to interoperate with Macro GSM network (roaming from Private GSM to public GSM)

· Supports ‘Bring your Own’ device strategy.

FIXED MOBILE CONVERGENCEThe increasing availability of relatively low cost dual mode GSM/WiFi devices coupled with the trend for BYOD is leading more customers to consider what GSM based FMC solutions, such as private mobile can offer them.

The private mobile solution now gives you the ability to turn any standard GSM handset or smartphone into a SIP extension off the corporate PBX (Mitel Communications Director) and benefit from tariff free calls within your corporate network.

Private mobile can also offer a solution for customers who have traditionally poor coverage from the public mobile network be that in building, across a campus or even in more challenging environments such as underground.

DELIVERY OPTIONSThe Mitel Private Mobile solution can be delivered in three ways:

On-Premise – This provides the customer with their own Private Mobile network and Private SIM dedicated to the customer’s network.

Dual-SIM – By using Dual SIM handsets or Dual SIM adaptors the GSM handsets can use the Private Mobile network and SIM, whilst simultaneously using any other Mobile network.

Mobile Network Integration** – The Private Mobile solution also has the ability to be seen as an extension of an operator’s mobile network with full network integration. With Mobile Network integration the customer can use their existing GSM handset both on the Private Mobile network and on the Mobile network using a single SIM and roam between the two networks seamlessly.

LOCALLY MANAGED GSM NETWORKThe Mitel Private Mobile is a completely self contained mobile network solution that is locally managed and controlled and is therefore not under the control or influence of a Mobile operator. The customer has complete control over their voice, messaging (SMS) and data services.

Given the fact it is completely controlled within a customers domain and can operate independently from the public mobile network, it can offer continuity and resilience in the event of public network congestion or worse still, outage.

APPLICATIONSAs with many of Mitel’s existing mobile offerings applications are becoming an increasingly important part of the whole mobility solution. The Mitel Private Mobile solution offers a rich messaging and provisioning API in order to deliver applications such as:

· Nurse Call Integration· Support Services Management· Infrastructure Management and Alarms· Paging· Lone Worker· Fire Pre-Alarms· Building Management· Porter Service

FUTURE PROOFMitel’s Private Mobile network currently uses 2.75G GSM Picocells; however 3G Femtocells and LTE can also be supported as part of a Private Mobile solution. Such an expansion would require no change in the core software simply the addition of new base stations. Therefore as applications become an increasingly larger part of the mobility solution Mitel’s Private Mobile can grow as the mobile data demands increase.
