Classroom and Parental Engagement• Using SharePoint for learning since 2007• We now have a Learning Platform with high user
adoption• End users are in control- they decide content
through student voice and staff ownership• 100% of Parents now have access to the Parent
Gateway, 79% are regular users.

How do we gain early adoption? In September 2006 Twynham School had
SharePoint 2003 on premise.The staff home page consisted of a series of links
to key tools (email, streaming media, MIS).One or two staff had played with student sites for
their subject.We had a separate streaming media service with
hand crafted html files.
How do we make SharePoint the centre of every school system and process?

Data pulled from MIS system and put into spreadsheet every 2
weeks (80 hours)
Administrator pulls student lists for Heads
of Year and tutors
(40 hours)
Head of Year meets with tutors to discuss
individual student attendance
Head of Year meets with Senior Leader and
SENCO to discuss individual students
Head of Year or tutor contacts parents to discuss attendance
and agree action points
Action points written and given to
administrator to input into MIS system
