Why PureApplication Service on SoftLayerfor your off-premise cloud?

3

Customers look for public clouds:

For high elasticity, to grow or shrink as needed

As a low cost entry to deploying applications

So client can focus more on the application and less on the infrastructure

Why IBM Hybrid Cloud for this?

 Dedicated isolated resources

Simplicity and faster deployment with patterns

Lower entry cost per month than the competition

World wide deployment centers meets regulatory constraints that require applications and data to reside in-country

Seamless portability to and from public and private clouds using the same integrated workload management console

Let us cover these proof points

PureApplication Service on SoftLayer lets you focus more on your application

4

IBM manages and maintains the PureApplication Service Platform, compute nodes, storage, networking, security (VPN, firewall), virtualization

Workload deployment is easy with patterns, which are portable to IBM’s private cloud

Client then manages and maintains their deployed patterns, shared services (if deployed e.g. caching, proxy, monitoring), backup / restore for workloads, OS and above maintenance

A Web portal aids in account management, billing, purchasing, integration with backend IBM systems for billing, and system management monitoring

PureApplication Management Console comes with IBM’s public cloud

One single pane of glass console for workload management

The management software runs in a virtual machine with its own resources from the SoftLayercloud

Same look and feel as on the PureApplication System private cloud console
