High biodiversityWhen  an  environment  has  a  lot  of  different  species  of  plants  and  animals.    Example:  rainforest,  ocean  

Low biodiversityWhen  an  environment  has  very  few  species  of  plants  and  animals.    Example:  field  of  corn,  forest  of  only  pine  trees    

Natural SelectionOrganisms  with  certain  traits  will  survive  to  reproduce  at  a  higher  rate  than  organisms  without  these  traits.  Happens  naturally.    Example:    white  rabbits  blend  in  with  snow  and  the  brown  rabbits  get  eaten  

Selective BreedingThe  controlled  breeding  of  organisms  that  have  a  certain  trait.      Example:  seedless  watermelon,  breeding  dogs
