The “Wi-Fi.HK” brand promotes free Wi-Fi services from public and private sectors and forms part of an initiative under the auspices of the 2014 Digital 21 Strategy launched by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO). This was designed to strengthen Hong Kong’s image as one of the world’s most connected cities by making wireless Internet access freely available at certain locations.

Hotmob, Hong Kong’s first and largest mobile ad network, has announced an exclusive partnership with HKT to help advertisers reach the user segment of free “Wi-Fi.HK via CSL” service.

As one of Hong Kong’s largest telecoms service providers, Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited supports the OGCIO initiative by providing free “Wi-Fi.HK via CSL” service at more than 1,400 access points – to the benefit of the local public and visiting tourists. Wi-Fi.HK launched in 2014. !

For website visitors, Hotmob will provide login page banners, while mobile users will see a pop-up ad immediately after Internet login. !

The Chinese New Year is always the peak season for cinema operators, with moviegoers visiting the cinemas during the extended public holidays to enjoy the latest blockbusters – boosting up traffic on Hong Kong Movie. !

For the week of the CNY holidays, Hong Kong Movie reported a 9% increase in CTR for movie search and ticketing, and 12.5% increment on Banner and Pop Up Ad respectively.
