VIT University was established in 1984 by well-known educationalist and former

parliamentarian, Dr. G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor. Dr. V. Raju, Former

Professor of State University of New York, USA, currently the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Anand

A. Samuel, Pro-Vice Chancellor. Chennai Campus is in Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road.VIT

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants

Commission (UGC) has accredited the university with a 'A'.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and the Energy Institute, UK have

audited the teaching-learning processes at VIT and accredited the programmes in 2004, with

the highest validity of five years

Programmes at VIT are accredited by the Institution of Engineers, India (IEI).

The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) of the USA accredited the

Civil, Mech, CSE, biomedical, ECE, EEE programmes.

VIT Business School, under the aegis VIT University has created a niche for itself as an

institution promoting excellence in management education and research with Dr. M J Xavier as

its Executive Director.

Introduction to Healthcare Sectors:

The health care industry, is an aggregation of sectors within the economic system that

provides goods and services to treat patients with curative, preventive, rehabilitative, and

palliative care.

The Global Industry Classification Standard and the Industry Classification Benchmark

further distinguish the industry as two main groups:

1.Health care equipment and services; and

2.Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and related life sciences.

The health care equipment and services group consists of companies and entities that

provide medical equipment, medical supplies, and health care services, such as hospitals,

home health care providers, and nursing homes. The latter listed industry group includes

companies that produce biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and miscellaneous scientific

services.

The Barchart represents the Turnover and Number of Employees together

in different companies.

It shows that GE has the highest turnover as compared to its major

competitors, Johnson & Johnson and Siemens.We see that Siemens has the

highest number of employees but the turnover is very less because higher

number of employees need to be paid and on the other hand the production is

low.

CONCLUSION

Turnover:

The pie chart shows that the turnover of GE Healthcare is higher with a

turnover of $1,46,045 billion followed by Siemens and

Johnson&Johnson.Therefore GE has the highest sales turnover in the global

market.

Turnover and Number of Employees:

GE has the highest turnover as compared to its major competitors, Johnson &

Johnson and Siemens. Siemens has the highest number of employees but the

turnover is very less because more capital is required to pay wages to the

employees rather than using the capital in Production of Goods.

Weka Forecasting:

The Forecast in Weka shows leaps and bounds in the beginning but eventually

it gives a higher prediction for volume .

SPSS Prediction:

The SPSS forecast for GE Healthcare shows that the price rises and becomes

stable at a certain level with higher accuracy as compared to the actual price.
