The client experience

� Each session is led by a personal trainer

� The client changes into the black undergarments

� The trainer selects an appropriately-sized

electrode vest and helps the client put it on

� The remaining electrode belts are attached to the

arms, thighs and backside

� The suit is connected to the control box

� The trainer selects the training program and

adjusts the intensity for each muscle group

� For 15 minutes the muscles are stimulated for 4

seconds followed by a 4-second rest period*

� During the impulse the client exhales and feels the

major muscles tense

� The muscles are worked by moving the body

against the resistance created by the impulse

� The trainer instructs the client which movements to

make to work muscle groups in turn or together

� The client may jog on the spot or lie on the floor

but requires no further space during the workout

� At the end of the session the client drinks a protein

drink, changes and can shower if desired

� Each booking requires 30-45 minutes depending

on the client’s familiarity with the process

How Speed Fitness works

� The control unit generates a harmless milliAmp

alternating electric current with carefully controlled

impulse frequency, duration, intensity and shape

� The current stimulates the muscle directly at the

electrode. The stronger the impulse intensity, the

more muscle fibres are recruited and the stronger

the muscle contraction

� The muscles are stimulated with 85 impulses per

second to generate resistance that the client can

work against

� When the impulses stimulate the muscles to

contract, exercise movements then intensify the

contraction of the voluntary fixed muscles

� Large muscle groups and smaller stabilising

groups are activated simultaneously, while limited

stress is placed on joints, allowing for intense

exercise with low risk of damage

� The EMS training leads to increase in maximum

strength, improved contraction speed and

efficiency, muscle growth and endurance

� Increased metabolic activity also helps to reduce

fat, especially in problem areas

� Max strength improved by 12%, strength endurance improved by 69%, body fat down 8% vs control,

female girth reduction 4cm, backache reduction (82%), incontinence improvement (76%), >80% felt body

improved, more stable, more efficient, more shapely, stronger and mentally activated

� Slightly superior to conventional weight training for increases in body strength (12% vs 10%) & strength
