1. The prepaid smart meters have eliminated risk of non-payment that happens in a

traditional billing arrangement.

2. Chik Island success case in the community owned and operated hybrid system owe

largely to the careful community consultation process during the early phase of the

project through several workshops.

3. Although the technician is well-trained and capable of daily system operation and

maintenance, there could be occasions when imported equipment's.

1. Community of Practices (CoP).

Several villagers attempted to build a small hydropower unit for generating electricity in

their farm. (fish cans, stair’s heads, cup like blade turbine)

2. Based on concepts of inclusive innovation.

The main objective of this project is to develop a standard design procedure for pico

hydro turbine units that can be manufactured locally in Thailand. (0.3 US$/W)
