alcohol & a hangover

Age & Life stage:

• The target audience KNM is aimed at is young males & females, aged 15 to 24.

• The magazine content wouldn’t necessarily appeal to people over the age of 30 in the traditionalist psychographic group and Home owner life stage. This is because at this age, earning money and paying bills comes before entertainment.

• The subjects in KNM would be based around parties & gigs not how to economise etc.

Mode of Address

• The mode of address in KNM is very open and sociable. As the audience are younger, they way of talking is more slang based. If the magazine were to talk with an air of higher social class then the audience are not likely to read it as they would feel they are being looked down on or talked to, not talking with. The audience feel involved in the interview for example as it is laid back and easy going.

• Fashion is a key point in the Indie music scene. For this reason I dressed and photographed my model in vintage clothing. This makes the magazine more appealing to females.

• Audience reactions were very much in agreement to fashion going hand in hand with indie music
