What have you learned from your audience feedback?

12 people did our survey, 10 were female and 2 were male. This helps us to see that the main target audience for our music video is women. However with the two males who replies it gave us a chance to see what they thought of the music video, analyse the information given, and change our video accordingly.

• The most popular answer for this question was pop. The second most popular was R'n'B and rock, two people chose classical music, and indie music, one person chose house music, and one other person chose the option other. This was a good, varied result, that allowed us to see what the audience was most interested in.

• 7/12 people within the survey said that they would buy a album/single for the band/artist. Showing that our audience has a keen interest in buying CDs.

• The rest of the people who took the survey, said they’d buy a single/album, because it was ‘new and unique’. Therefore, there may be a song on the album, or the single itself, may be unique, or may be the start of a new era of music.

• This answer was split 50/50. With some of the people who answered the survey stating that the music was unique and new, also telling a story behind the lyrics, making it even more interesting. However the other people who took the survey, stated to us that the song was boring without the video, and lacked the spark to make them want to buy it.

• 11/12 people replied ‘Yes’ for this question. With some feedback from our peers, we received a statement that, ‘The lip synching and montage is flawless’. We was happy with this statement, as we had to do many takes of the actress (Hayley) lip synching, and the Editor (Jaye) spent many hours trying to get the music in time with the lip synching, and creating the montage.

• The 1 person who replied no, remains anonymous, and we can therefore not get a further diagnoses on our faults.

• 12/12 people replied ‘Yes’ to this answer, giving our group a great sense of comfort, that our Music video is widely liked by a wide range of

individuals who like different genres.

• 5/12 people replied that the Advert and Digipak was very good

• 5/12 people replied that it was good• 2/12 people replied that it was okay• This was a great success, as those who completed the survey was asked to do so with the utmost honesty.

• We thought that the survey was an overall success, with posivitive reviews on nearly all aspects of our media tasks, coming from a wide range of individuals, who liked different genres, and had different idea’s on what makes a music video popular, buyable and interesting.
