(3)Why would Bauer Media distribute my magazine ‘Vinyl’?

• I chose this company to distribute my magazine because it currently produces similar genres; old and classic rock. The genre alternative/indie rock is similar to these however the company does not currently distribute a magazine that is specific to this genre.

• Bauer media is a successful company that currently distributes eighty eight different magazines and reaches over 9.9 million readers, this would be good for my magazine as its current success has made its current magazines successful (Kerrang and Mojo)

• Both Kerrang and Mojo appeal to a similar target audience as my magazine (teenagers and young adults) and therefore they may purchase my magazine if the are interested in Alternative/indie rock

• The current magazines distributed by Bauer magazine are targeted towards a more male audience, this is shown through the use of primarily male artists on the covers. I have used a female artist on the cover of my magazine with the hopes of standing out against the mass of male targeted magazines, however my magazine is not exclusive to either gender
