RANIYAH 132/33/11 kv SUBSTATION

Raniyah 132/33/11 Kv Substation In our project we have a two-flatted building which is specialized for a specific work that is (changing the electrical power from 132 kv to -33 and 11-kv).

2

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

• The area of the building is 711.36 m2 (with dimensions of 68.4m*10.4m), so the building is divided into two joints in the longitudinal direction.

• The project located in Raniyah where is a city in Kurdistan therefore in the calculation of the project cost we used the prices in the markets of Kurdistan with US Dollars.

• We calculated Durations for all items with regarding to output per crew (and sometimes we used more than one crew per day for a specific item to speed up the progress of the item).

3

STEPS OF CALCULATION

QUANTITY CALCULATIONAfter obtaining all DWG files for the project we began to calculate the Quantities for items.

4

Details for Excavation ( As an example )5

In our project we had 41 items, but here we will take Excavation as an example to show how all calculations have done.

6

The Plan of The Footings

OBTAINING COSTS7

In our country ( Kurdistan ) the cost of excavation is 4.00 US Dollars per one cubic meter of Excavation for substations.

Then we calculated all the ( quantities and costs ) for the other items, and the total cost of the project reached 543,145.76 US Dollars.

DURATION CALCULATIONS

8

And also based on the ( Quantities and standards of productivity per crew ) we calculated the Durations for each item, as some examples shown below:

The Roof

11Roof Drain

Side Walk Ways

We calculated the reinforcement for the concrete items from the foundation to the roof slab. We will take the foundation reinforcement as an example.

Ground Floor Beams

Ground Floor Slabs

Just like the reinforcement we calculated the formwork for the concrete items from the foundation to the roof slab.

And also we will take the foundation formwork as an example.

MICROSOFT PROJECT & PREMAVERA • Based on the durations we calculated the previously for each item we planned for

the project by using MS Project & Primavera.• And also we made the proceedings of activities based on our engineering
