DAISY’S SONG
Welcome
John
Keats
John Keats (31 October 1795 – 23 February 1821) was an
English Romantic poet. The poetry of Keats is characterised by
sensual imagery, most notably in the series of odes.
Today his poems and letters are some of the most popular and most analysed in
English literature.
The sun, with his great eye,Sees not so much as I;And the moon, all silver-proudMight as well be in a cloud.
And O the spring – the springI lead the life of a king!Couch’d in the teeming grass,I spy each pretty lass.
I look where no one dares, And I stare where no one stares,And when the night is nigh,Lambs bleat my lullaby.
