Although in face to face conversations wecan use our body language more effectivelythen in telephonic conversations. The same basic strategies for effectivenessapply for both three types. 4. Good conversational skills help us in bothprofessional and social conversations. Everybody talk in a friendly environment. None of the professional talks, those ofthe teachers, the lawyers, the publicspeaker, the actor, the debater, may beconsidered as conversations per se. Example :- it is break time at aconference. While conversing with friends or relatives. We may have not any difficulty starting orending conversation as we share manycommon events over experience withthem. However with a stranger or with somebodywhom we do not know very well. An effective conversation may play animportant role in shaping our career ordeveloping a long lasting relationship. 8. We can state a fact or ask a question tostart a conversation. We can also start with a smile and somegreeting word. For Ex: How did you like yesterdays program? I did not like todays class on circuits and signals. 9. What is the meaning of conversation? Conversation means one type of sharing ideas about the particular topic. What is the meaning of Etiquette ? Etiquette means one type of politeness in your conversation and speech. 14. Sitting anywhere in the world we canshare information, make requests, discussbusiness matter and be in touch with ourfamily, friends and colleagues over thephone. We can get information about anyplace, product or people across theworld by the use of telephone. Now in the telephonic conversation, thetwo parties can not see each othersfacial expression and other aspects ofbody language. 15. While talking on the phone we have to usepolite expressions such as how can may Ihelp you?, may I speak to Mr.? There are few things to be careful whiletelephonic conversation. Do not shout. Do not use slangs. Do not interrupt the caller when he/she isspeaking. Thank the caller before ending the call. 16. conversation Conversation means one type of sharing ideasabout the particular topic. Conversation practice can be held in the followingplaces. -> In the class room:- Now In The class room conversation it would bediscuss by the teacher and the students(boys&girls). 17. At The Office During Lunch Break In this type of conversation it is held by thetwo or more colleagues of a particularorganization. In the mall/in a park/at a restaurant In this type of conversation it would bediscussed by the family members or groupof friends etc. 18. Out side the exam center This is the best conversation among the all conversation practice of conversation that we have discussed above. It is an informal conversation and it is used between the class mates and between students and their parents. 19. Several occasions or situations thatrequire us to speak to another person forgetting or giving information. Dialogues spoken on such occasions arecalled situational dialogues. 20.
