Area of 544 km² municipal, 750 km² total.
1,186 mts of elevation from ocean level, in the highest point,
1686 mts, there is a statue called “Cristo Redentor”. (Christ
Redeemer)
The physical area is made up for the most part of a high
plateau formed by mountains, fields and valleys. The city
is located in a volcanic crater.
It’s boundary to São Paulo.
