Memo to School Principal

To: Mrs. Connie Daniels, Principal Mount Vernon Exploratory School

From: Rebecca West, School Library Media Student

This memo is in reference to the 2015 Library Media Program Evaluation Rubric that I completed with Kristi Crumpton, School Library Media Specialist. The rubric covers 6 categories which include: student achievement and instruction, technology, staffing, facilities, access, and resources, administrative support and staff development. Each category is rated on proficiency and can be scored Basic, Proficient, or Exemplary. There were 22 target indicators that the MVES library media center was scored on. The media center rated basic on one target indicator, proficient in 6 areas, and exemplary in 15 areas.

An action plan has been developed to address the area rated basic and help to move it to proficient. Please see the attached action plan and rubric for more details.
