#23 2020-2021 School Year Family Memo #23 03.05.2021 A Big Shoutout to our Classified Employees: This week has been Classified Appreciation Week! We are so fortunate to have such a caring and dedicated staff at RRJSHS! Our Instructional Assistants have worked closely with students all fall and winter and now get to return to supporting teachers and students in the classroom. Our secretaries have had to support administration with all the logistics, details, and communications with Distance Learning and now Hybrid Instruction, and have maintained their calm, focus and dedication through it all. Our custodians and maintenance staff have had to take on a massive increase in workload along with strict cleaning protocols all school year. And this is just a snapshot of what they contribute to this school and district. Without our classified staff there is no way we would be able to provide the quality of education that we provide! Thank you Classified! For Our Seniors: It is hard to believe that we are getting close to the spring break, and then after Spring Break will be a fun, busy, and exhilarating ride into Graduation! I am sure there are tons of questions about events, dates, plans and more! I assure you we will be working hard and communicating clearly about everything you will need to know. Your job right now is to make sure you are doing everything you need to in your classes and getting help if you are not passing. You all need to meet the 24 credit requirements in order to Graduate on time. Our job is to plan, coordinate and communicate everything. We hope to have a class meeting before Spring Break with all our seniors to provide everyone important dates, information, and logistics. Expect info on it soon!

2020-2021 School Year Family Memo #23

03.05.2021

A Big Shoutout to our Classified Employees: This week has been Classified Appreciation Week! Our custodians and maintenance staff have had to take

on a massive increase in workload along with strict cleaning protocols all school year. And this is just a snapshot of what

they contribute to this school and district.

Midterms: The Word!

We will be sending out Mid-Term Grades on Tuesday, March 9th. This will be a reflection of how students are doing so far in the quarter, but it has been an unusual quarter so far. First, we spent two weeks in CDL, then a week of Orientation, and now two weeks of Hybrid. As such, there is not as much in the gradebook for many of our teachers as there usually would be at this point in the 3rd quarter. Much can change, and with hard work, effort and confidence, those poor grades can easily improve.

CDL Upload: Our CDL students and families will also be receiving Progress Reports, but they will look different than typical Progress Reports. They will be Edgenuity Print Outs showing the progress students have made so far. As always, if you have questions or concerns about the progress reports for the Edgenity Classes reach out to your students CDL teacher and they will be able to support you and your student.

Bussing:

We are working out some logistics that have caused one of our busses in to be late. It should be worked out to get our students arriving early or on time starting next week. Thank you for your patience...the split schedule has been very difficult to work with compared to typical school years.

Also, please help our bus drivers and remind your student they are not to eat their grab and go lunch on the bus. Thank you.
