Conclusion – 2: questions

Who is/should be responsible for the public Information Literacy? The European Union agencies? The government (central or local administration)? The educational institutions? The information and library profession? Citizens themselves? All of them? Librarians and information specialists could

take – in cooperation with the appropriate government agencies, educators and business – responsibility for the national Information Literacy.

Conclusion – 3: questions

Is an integrated national program/system for Information Literacy education really needed?

Or – more effective would be individual projects of the interested citizens, professional groups, NGOs, local administration and librarians?
