summer.Below is the full explanation of our school dress code. Plan
to buy the appropriateclothing for your children during the summer.
The biggest issues we tend to have arewith the uniform shorts.
Shorts are often not long enough or are sport shorts withstripes or
other color designs on them. We recommend that you buy several
pairs of theappropriate shorts or trousers to start the year so you
are not left trying to find them if apair becomes lost or damaged
during the school year. All school shirts must be boughtat a Ceinca
store in Lechera. (Link to Map).Dress Code (from the CIPLC Student
Handbook)The Venezuelan Education Ministry has established a
mandatory dress code for allpublic and private schools in the
country. Official uniform shirts must be purchased fromCIPLC.The
lower half of the uniform consists of solid blue pants, skirts, or
hemmed shortsmid-thigh in length or longer. Blue jeans in nice
condition are acceptable. The upperhalf consists of a solid shirt
in these assigned colors: Pre-School KinderRed knit shirt 1st - 5th
gradeWhite knit shirt 6th - 8th gradeLight blue knit shirt 9th -
12th grade Beige knit shirtsAny sweater must be solid navy or dark
blue in color. For physical educationclasses, all students must
wear the schools PE uniform. New students will have oneweek to

students pride in themselves and in their school.Student dress must
reflect the important and serious purpose of CIPLC. The
followingare not permitted as a school uniform: 1. Torn, patched or
frayed jeans, sweat pants, beach shorts, or athletic shorts. 2.
Flip-flops, high heels, bare feet, torn or cut-up sneakers. 3.
Overalls or coveralls. In addition the following dress code rules
must be observed 4. Baseball caps should not be worn during
classes. No other head coverings areallowed such as stocking caps
or bandanas. 5. All uniforms must have a school logo, and students
must wear their uniformduring the entire school day.
