CHORAL SERVICES
Services are normally sung by King’s College Choir on Sundays and fromTuesdays to Saturdays. Services on Mondays are sung by King’s Voices,the College’s mixed voice choir. Exceptions are listed.
ORGAN RECITALS
Each Saturday during full term time there is an organ recital at 6.30 p.m.until 7.15 p.m. Admission is free, and there is a retiring collection.
HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SERVICES
As Easter at King’s moves into its eleventh year, the essential foundationof the regular liturgies continues. This year will include performancesof Bach St Matthew Passion, Szymanowski Stabat Mater, and HandelIsrael in Egypt. The distinguished counter-tenor, Andreas Scholl, recentlyadmitted as a member of the College’s 1441 Foundation, will be Artist-in-Residence. He will be singing in the Bach and Handel, and will alsogive a solo recital.

MUSIC
BBC Radio 3 will broadcast a special evensong in memory of the lateSir John Tavener on Wednesday 22 January at 3.30 p.m. The Choir’sjourney through Francis Grier (KC 1973) lit by holy fire continues on16 and 22 February, and 9 March. On Ash Wednesday, 5 March, Sir JohnEliot Gardiner (KC 1961) returns to the College to give a performanceof Monteverdi Vespers of 1610. This marks the 50th anniversary of theperformance he gave as an undergraduate in 1964 which led to the creationof the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra. The choristers will be takingpart in this concert, and, as a consequence, Allegri Miserere will be givenat Evensong on the following Saturday 8 March.
