Code Life - As Christian men living in the UK we want to follow in the footsteps of those who resisted the lures of their culture to please their creator. This  four-week study , focused on issu es of “honour” wi ll unpack how we can do that. Nooma - short, engaging and beautifully produced videos by Rob Bell, intended  to challenge the way we feel about life and faith and stimulate discussion. Each Lent group will take a different set of four as their leaping-off point for the sessions. Square Mile - “Would anyone notice if your church ceased to exist?”. Four sessions looking at how Christians and the church can and should engage with our communities through acts of Mercy, Influence, Lifestyle and Evangelism. Stimulating converstaion and Bible study, with prayer. Colossians - four sessions looking together at the letter of Paul to the Colossian church, in the company of world-renowned Bible scholar Tom Wright. Resurrection - Living through 4 days in history as if we didn’t know what  would happen! Easter is so familiar to most of us. Four sessions walking from Passover, to crucifixion, the silence of the tomb and then resurrection as if  we were there. How would this affect ou r faith? Lectio Divina - reading the Bible doesn’t have to be a dry and dusty academic exercise. Experience the ancient practice of ‘Lectio Divina’, a slow and contemplative praying of the Scriptures to learn and carry in to our daily lives. Why Jesus? - four sessions looking at who Jesus claimed to be, what he taught,  why he died and whether he really r ose from the dead. Life Balance - "Sabbath is a gift, a door, an attitude and a surprise"… A look at rest, work and play in the light of the Bible's teaching about the Sabbath. Opportunities to pause, find n ew rhythms, create space and clear some of the clutter in our lives. Looking through the Cross - Everything looks different in this world through  the lens of the Cross. Reconciliation, humility, identity, power, suffering, life and atonement: themes given exciting new meaning in this Lent Book.
